Diagnostic Ultrasound at All KFAC Locations
We are extremely happy to introduce our new Digital Ultrasonic Diagnostic Imaging System. We can now use this soft tissue sonography (ultrasound) to help diagnose our patients' foot and ankle problems.
A number of conditions can now be visualized better than with a conventional x-ray machine. Many soft tissue conditions do not even show up on an x-ray, including:
· Inflammation of the plantar fascia (plantar fasciitis)
· Bursitis and ganglionic cysts
· Neuroma
· Inflamed or torn tendons
· Certain types of foreign bodies
· Certain tumors
· Periostitis (inflammation of the lining of the bones)
We are excited and thrilled to have this in our office. We look forward to using this machine to provide care with even more accuracy. The use of this machine is covered by most insurance.

OrthoScan Guided Injections
Introducing our new OrthoScan HD!
Unlike your normal x-ray, this machine will allow our doctors to take pictures during movement of your extremities. This allows doctors to see problems that may occur during movement.
This new machine can be used in a variety of diagnostic, surgical, and post-operative procedures for extremities, including the foot and ankle. We are so excited to have this new machine in our office.
We can now take a better look at fractures and joint movements, and it will help us during needle guided injections. This machine can locate precisely where the problem is.
What is also fantastic is that the use of this machine is covered by insurance.
